As I was standing in front of the plaza on 5th August,
the very first day of my 3 months internship, my head
was full with questions. “Would I be able to
understand what they say” “How long it would take
before they are bored of me being here and think of
me as a trouble maker”. Unexpectedly, I was warmly
welcome. I was explained about plaza` s facilities and
activities in the first 2 days. Because my Japanese is
very weak even simple explanation takes a lot of time
before I can understand. Even so、everyone seems to
ignore how bad my communication skill is and try to
make sure that my understanding was correct. I was
assigned a tutor, Miss Kim, who happened to be more
than just a tutor but a friend and a parent. My
impression towards everyone at the plaza gets stronger
and stronger as I gradually fit in to the place and be
able to help with little things. I have learnt so much
more than I ever thought I could have. Everyone was
so supportive and freely allows me to express my
needs and interest of what I want to know and to their
best effort managed it to actually happened. What I
have learnt from the plaza is not just about the solid
waste management and recycle but also about
teamwork and about people interaction. I am
overwhelmed by how everyone at the plaza helped me
through my internship and very glad and honored that
I have come to such a right place where everything I
ever want to learn I get to learn. I feel very connected
with the plaza and very appreciate every single thing
that everyone has done for me.
